Wishing Everyone a Merry Chuseok!

The cool Autumn breeze is upon us and Chuseok (Korean: 추석) is now in full swing. Chuseok is a major harvest festival and a three-day holiday in Korea celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar (for those who aren’t in Korea, Chuseok started last Friday and ends this Sunday). Like many other harvest festivals, notably the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, it is held around the Autumn Equinox. As a celebration of the good harvest, Koreans visit their ancestral hometowns and share a feast of Korean traditional food, notably songpyeon (a crescent shaped rice cake), japchae, bulgogi and fruits.

And what would Chuseok be without our favorite Hallyuwood stars? During the past week, several celebrities paid their respects to fans dressed in their auspicious hanbok attire to greet everyone a safe, peaceful and happy Chuseok.
