Hero, Xiah and Mickey, the three TVXQ members who sued their agency to demand that their contracts be terminated, said that the court’s decision applied to the remaining two members as well and that they would want to stay as one group.

The court ruled on October 27 that TVXQ’s agency, SM Entertainment, must terminate certain terms and conditions of the three members’ contracts to guarantee their freedom to pursue solo careers.

An official who was involved in the suit said in a telephone interview with Yonhap Agency that the main trial would be held this week since the court had proved the unfairness of the three members’ contracts. He also added that he would discuss the matter with the remaining two members.

The official said, “Though the three members can now pursue their solo careers, what matters most is that TVXQ stays as a five-member group. We will try to involve the remaining two members because the court ruling applies to them as well.”

The three TVXQ members are considering resuming their activities next year because TVXQ has no scheduled concerts or TV commercial shoots until next year. The court ruling has sparked all kinds of speculations with regard to TVXQ’s future.

The Korean music industry and TVXQ fans are making projections about where the group is headed. Some predicted that the three will bolt and form a new group under a new management agency, while some said that they will probably focus on TV dramas or overseas activities rather than their music careers, because of their falling-out with the industry giant SM Entertainment. However, close associates of Hero, Micky, and Xiah said that the three are very determined to keep the group together and asked people to refrain from making hasty projections.
