Shinhwa Jun Jin the 7th Member of Infinity Challenge?

Kpop singer and Shinhwa member Jun Jin is receiving a great amount of support from TV viewers when he appeared as the unofficial 7th member of the top rated show Infinity Challenge (Korean: 무한도전) on MBC last Saturday.

In the episode titled Run with the Money (Korean: 돈가방을 갖고 튀어라) broadcast last June 21, Jun Jin completed the mission in finding a briefcase that had a stash of cash of KRW 3 million (around US$ 3,000) in it. During the whole episode, Jun Jin along with the members of Infinity Challenge, made a comedic scene of doing everything they can to get hold of the money. The show producer said that the epidsode was a parody of the Korean movie Nom Nom Nom.

What got a lot of people talking was that Jun Jin showed a lot of promise and potential as a regular member of the show as he showed that he was fast in making adjustments during the show but most importantly, he had a natural flair in making TV viewers laugh.

After the episode finished airing, TV viewers wrote positive comments on the Infinity Challenge message board with comments such as: “Junjin was very funny”, “(Jun Jin) seemed to get along with the other members,” and even “He should take the place of HaHa.” Infinity Challenge member HaHa is currently serving his duties in the Korean military.

So will Jun Jin be the 7th member of the famous group? If ratings are also any indication, Jun Jin made a strong case in being a member of the group as the show earned a strong rating of 20.1% according to TNS Media Korea.

It doesn’t sound far fetched as a lot of singers have turned to a career in acting like fellow Shinhwa member Eric who is starring in the drama Strongest Chilwoo. According to the show producers, more guests are scheduled to appear in the highly rated program before deciding on a 7th member.

I personally watched the episode and I have to say, Jun Jin fitted in flawlessly and he made a strong case in being with the group of comedians.
