Popular Hallyuwood actor Lee Jun-ki feels like a million wearing his new Iljimae warrior costume. Five million to be exact that is.

According to KBS Global, Lee Jun-ki’s outfit on the popular TV drama Iljimae costs a cool KRW 5 million (around US$ 5,000). Lee Jun-ki wears three types of armor and the one chest armor he wears is an art piece that took metal craftsman Park Joon four months to create.

The producers of a new period drama said that they didn’t “cut any costs when it came to making fashionable armor.” The SBS art designer in charge of “Iljimae’s” wardrobe is Tak Eun-joo. “An important criteria for Iljimae’s wardrobe includes maintaining his ability to use various weapons with ease,” she explained. “His black outfit was accented with a red band around the waist and most of his accessories weren’t purchased, but made delicately by hand. We wanted him to stand out.”

And stand out he does. Check out Lee in his warrior costume during a press conference for the drama Iljimae.
