Jang Shin-young: No Money, No Honey?

26 year old Hallyuwood actress Jang Shin-young filed for divorce last Monday after three years of marriage.

The former Chunhyang beauty pageant contestant appeared in several dramas notably "Pretty Woman" (2003), "Winter Bird" (2007) and the recent "The Road Home." She has also appeared in the movies "When Spring Comes" (2004) and the horror film "Red Eye" (2005).

It was in the film "When Spring Comes" when she was introduced by an acquaintance to her future husband. The then 23 year old actress tied the knot in November 2006 with a 32-year-old man whose surname is known only as Wi.

In court papers, the couple cited personality differences as the reason for their divorce but according to close friends, the snowballing debt of Jang's husband was too much that it not only bankrupted her husband's business but it could affect Jang's career as an actress as well.

Before the divorce proceedings, the couple had already began living separately eight months ago. Jang will get custody of their 3-year-old son.
